The open mouth maybe just your iguana regulating his body temperature. Iguana's regulate by extending their dewlap and by opening their mouth.

You should be providing a basking spot of 95 degrees but also have areas in the cage that are 80 degrees. Humidity is a definite plus given the medical problems your iguana may have. Keep those levels up high.
There's someone else from Sweden that use to post on the iguana forum, I'll have to look up his name and post it later. You may be close enough to him that he'd be able to help you.
