Question for "simondemontfort" or other Croc Monitor keepers

I was looking at the hatchling animals for sale at DnJ and noticed they seemed to be more black and white than the high yellow colorations I have seen on most other animals.

Does the yellow coloration come in with age or is animal specific?

Is this locality based?

Just curious.
