That's been my observation as well. The finer grained Repti-Sand clumps up and can cause impaction as well as the walnut shells and other organic substrates. Many leos are not as lucky when it comes to the walnut shells. I'm glad your leos could, work things out for themselves. : ) I've had hundreds of leos on Playsand and CalciSand with out any major problems. If you watch them closely at first they are fine. Almost every leo eats some just because it's new but it has worked well for me.
