I live in southern California. There's supposedly lots of herps around here, but everywhere I go, it's full of buildings and cars and pollution. Things I doubt that herps would like. I have two favorite herping spots. Wooded place 1/2 a mile from my apartment building and a trail named "The Snake Path". Guess what you find at the Snake Path?? Yep, snakes. The wooded place behind my apartment is full of fence lizards, night snakes, garters, whiptails, and these weird furry/spiky centipede/caterpiller thingies. Found a snake eating a lizard once. Tasty :P
