Oh, man, how i know its not easy to find herps! We went to the Okanogan, which is supposed to be the herp capital of BC, and got skunked! A friend my dad knows said "if you go on white road at night, you will find dozens of snkaes" well, we were out there from about 10 pm-12, and guess what we found! nothin! We did find a praying mantis under a rock, though. But, then, when we went up to kettle river (past ossoyoos, a little ways up a mountain, where we were told we would not find much at all, in about the first 5 minutes of looking, i found a species of garder snkae i had never found! Then a racer, then another garder! It waas awesome! The snake we were told we would never find (of course, by this time i am not really trusting the guy jk), we found! a rubber boa! Canadas only boa. Then, talking to a guy at a herp show, he said e had only ever talked to a half dozen or so people who had ever found one! It made me feel special
