I am writing this as I am taking a break from keeping my eye on my Eastern Indigos. Today I put them together for the first time in there lives. They started off a little slow and now the male is actively seeking to line up with the female. I have seen the vents lined up and the male is trying to push the tail up. There has been no biting (Thank God). At times the male was on top of the female for nearly the entire length. Sometimes the male aims to place his head on top of the females vent. The olfactory senses are top notch on these snakes. What can I expect from here? I will separate the two within an hour or so. I plan on putting them together several more times until January 1 or should I stop sooner? Well I'm hoping for success so any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
