:I hardly qualify as an expert, but after keeping snakes for several years, I have one suggestion for you. In the picture you've got the water bowl right up on the glass. Looks like it anyway. I recommend putting it in the center of the cage, or at least away from the glass. I have an indigo, a gopher snake, and a Baird's ratsnake, and about 90% of the time they poop along the edge of their cage (while doing routine perimeter patrols). It will be less maintenance for you (sterilizing the water bowl) if you move the bowl away from the side, out of the preferred poop zone. :-) Other than that, nice setup. I like that lid; where did you get it?

The whole thing is a custome job from the lid to the cabnet it sits on. I got from a buddy at work who did not want it anymore. His dad made it for him when he was a kid to keep some reptiles in and has since lose intrest. I do need to get a lock for the trap door in the lid before Rio finds out that it does not have one. I can try and get some more pics of it at differnt angles if you or anyone is intrested on how it was made. Thaks for the heads up on the water bowl. I plan on getting a bigger ceramic one and I will keep it away from the sides.
