Great question.

Drymarchon corais is the species for all indigos and cribos. Eastern indigos are D.c. couperi. Texas indigos I believe are D.c. rubidus. D.c.melanurus is the Black tail cribo. D.c. corais is another cribo (yellow tail?).

Hope this helps (and I hope I have all the subspecies right)
