Indigos are larger and calmer. They are also more expensive, illegal in some states, and quite a bit messier (an cage of a large indigo requires significantly more maintenance than that of a black king).
Black Milks are a little smaller, and although they don't bite, mine don't really seem to "appreciate" being handled. They are a little more high strung than other big kingsnakes, but a lot calmer than the other large milks.
This isn't really a fair comparison. They are totally different snakes. I don't think it is fair to say that an indigo is more "majestic" or that a black milk is more "beautiful". They are both cool, they both have up and down sides. Indigo Snake lovers love their indigos, black milk lovers love their black milks, period. Neither is a "better" snake.
Really, if you had to choose the most "majestic" of big black snakes, a Forest Cobra would win hands down. They are spectacular and demand tremendous respect. They certainly make people say WOW in a way that no indigo or black milk could ever do! LOL
