>>>: I’m starting to think photoperiods. I have noticed that as soon as I begin to reduce the photoperiods, I start to see sperm deposits in the male’s water. I block out all influence from other light sources (like windows) and make sure all the light is being controlled by the timers so they cannot be “fooled” by other secondary light sources.<<<<
I can't help but to wonder what the advantage might be of setting up an entirely artificial lighting system with timers when you already have a window in the room that should serve well for the same purpose? Have you experienced problems with your animal's breeding behavior in the past while relying only on the naturally fluctuating photoperiod coming through the window, and if so, what was the difference, if I may ask?
