I do not use them any more and am having the same success. It's my understanding that herbevores and insectivores are much more dependent on full spectrum lighting than true carnivores. Snakes are a true seconday consumer...they consume entire organisms WHOLE. In theory, they should get any and all nutrients they need from those organisims.

don't see how it would be logical that they would need UV light.
