Dude, you're coming across pretty testy and we're just presenting information that's out there for your own review.
If you look at the post, it says that Flagyl Toxicity always shows nuerological signs. That in dogs and humans the signs abated within 12 hours. It said nothing about sick, w/c cham's. Perhaps the lethal dose for cham's may be lower. This is the type of anecdotal evidence we need to consider when we chose to medicate or not.
From your posts, I'm pretty convinced your cham's had Flagyl Toxicity as they showed nuerological symptoms after being medicated. Pretty good evidence.
The information that was given in the original post was a summary of stuff taken from these books.

"Veterinary Drug Handbook", Plumb
"Merck Veterinary Handbook"
One of the things we might consider is that the sick/dead snake, who was the original reason the flagyl topic came up, did not show any nuerological symptoms (as I understand) prior to death.
As for the stuff on NSAIDS, I'm not sure what the accronym stands for. I do know there is some current studies going on to determine why it appears that people who are taking Ibuprofen have a much lower rate of contracting Alzheimer's. I'm pretty sure that ibuprofen deficiency isn't the cause of Alzheimer's.
Your "Aspirin Defeciency" question can't have a good answer because the question assumes the headache is caused by the lack of some substance the body needs to function without developing a headache. People take aspirin when they have a headache because it has been shown to decrease the pain while being rather benign if taken in an amount that is less than that which is proven to be harmfull.
I doubt that caused heck to freeze over, but I figured I might as well try to come up with a good answer. Doesn't hurt to try.
I'm fortunate that I've never had to use flagyl for my indigos. I'm concluding that it may be best to only use flagyl for indigos when flagyl is the only thing that would work.

: in chameleons, i can definitely dispute just about all of that.
: first, by using recommended dosages, i was able to successfully kill off a few WC chameleons with flagyl.
: second, i was successful at frying several chameleon nervous systems with flagyl, and contrary to the post below, they symptoms never passed on. well, they did, but only when the animal eventually died (this happened to 3 CB chams. they lived only about 2 more years!).
: it is disturbing, how free wheeling people are with medications.
: a question i like to ask people who pop down aspirin or other NSAIDS for pain is: "what do you think causes your headaches (or other ailment)? do you really believe it's an aspirin deficiency?"
: the day i hear a good answer to that is the day heck freezes over.
