By definition Aspirin is a non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drug. ANY drug that relieves inflammation (aspirin, ibuprophen and many other over the counter drugs do) and is NOT a steroid is by definition is a NSAID

I lecture about such terminology to my Vet Tech students- basic definition.
