Flagyl (metronidazole) Toxicity in Indigos????

Looking for more info about the toxicity of Flagyl in Indigos...I've only found one source (Vol 3 Ackerman...Reptile Husbandry...) that says use a reduced dosage for them, but nothing about the why's whens, or what toxic effects are seen...This is such a commonly used drug in herps (and people in whom toxicity is seen when imbibing alcohol when the antibiotic is in their system, It's actually staring to replace antabuse for treating alcoholics)
I want more details about this drug reaction (with references)...This is a great antibiotic for many intestinal diseases, bacterial and protozoan, commonly prescribed and recommended for other snakes, lizards, turles, etc....So pony up the info guys!!!
