Trading of indigos - permit required?

Greetings!

I have a friend from out of state who has a 4 year old female; I have a 5 year old male. I also have a yearling female; he has a yearling male. We are considering swapping so that he has a pair of equal age and I have a young pair of equal age.

The question I have is, is a permit required to do this? It is not a sale, is it classified as interstate commerce if there is no money involved?

Since I purchased my older male at a retail reptile outlet, what do I put down for 'breeder'?

Any help or advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
