Hi,
this must not necessarily be a respiration illness. The respiration illness appears only with an immunodeficiency. Baytril (the corresponding active substance is Enrofloxacin) has an effect against the pathogens which exist.
The dosage should take place 10-15 mg / kg (1 kg = 1000 grams) of body weight once daily. The treatment must take place 5-7 days in a row. Injections should not be done, because Skinnekroses can be a result. I give the medicine oral with a stomach probe. Before I dissolve the tablets in water.
Followers bacterial exciter can be treated with this medicament:
Proteus mirabilis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella oxytoca, Alcaligeneses spp.
Proteus spp. is isolated at reptiles frequently as an exciter of bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, the digestive tract or the urine-trakt.
Klebsiellen are found in the environment as well as on mucous membranes. On mucous membranes they can cause bacterial infections. Predominantly infections appear in the intestine area.
Many greetings from Germany
Juergen
