The largest E. indigo I've seen in the wild was 8'2". It actually taped out at exactly 8 feet. I added the 2" because it didn't have a head at the time I found it. Sick, I know. I've seen quite a few wild ones over 7 feet. The cribos get much larger. I've seen a 9 footer from Surinam and the exporter I know down there says that 10 footers aren't uncommon.
: Had one that taped out at 9 ft many years ago, that was a LARGE indigo!! My male is just a couple of inches shy of 71/2 ft now, however dougs male is way more heavy bodied(It's those Washington state rats' I tell you!:)
: Most of the adult easterns you will come across are in the 5 to 6 ft range, males get larger than females, and make better display subjects(My opinion)
