years ago (15-20) i kept two pairs of large yellowtails that originally come from joe beraducci at the SHED..one of the males refused food offerings of any kind for months..northern water snakes finally broke him of starvation..i had to tie a dead rat or two to the end of a dead water snake to increase his food intake per meal..this process went on for about two to three months before he finally came around..this snake went on to father two clutches of hatchlings..those were the days!!!try chicks, snakes, or frogs to get him going..good luck!!
