When Bill Haast ran the Miami Serpentarium, all of the Indigos that were used for the "hands on" display part of the show were fed live chicks. A friend of mine worked there in the 60's and feeding these guys was part of his job. My personal experience with South Florida Indigos(when it was legal to possess them)was that adults show a feeding preference for other snakes, especially Elaphe. Scenting techniques might do the trick on a stubborn feeder. Keep in mind that my experience is limited to couperi only. Good luck...........T Dance
