I got my 6 foot male as an import last January.
Could not get him to eat anything I tried. and I tried EVERYTHING.
So I put him in a large VERY SECURE cage, covered all the glass with newspaper, and put damp cypress down as bedding. Then a put a large pan of water directly ubnder the heat lamp to jack the humidity WAY up.
The temp was about 85 in the warm spot (low 80's in the cool spot) and it was so humid that water drops were dripping from the ceiling of the cage.
I then put some frozen thawed chicks in with him and they were gone the next morning. In the same condidtions he began to eat small rats.
He seemed to have a marked prefenece for the chicks, however. He would NOT eat them, however, until I had put in the cypress and jacked up the humidity.
Now, he eats great (frozen / thwaed medium rats) at normal Drymarchon conditions.
This is what I'm going to try with the 2 new imports I just got in.
try it...and let us know how it goes.
by the way...I've heard some say they like fish...mine does not.
Good luck...it may take a few weeks for him to settle in...
