How far down from the head do the keels start appearing, and how far from the tail do they stop?

: I made that original pot referring to the snakes on KSC. They are all consistent in that the adult males have the small (1/4) scale keel on the 3 scales rows along the spine and the females lack them.

: My adults have them too. but I found it interesting that of my adult TX indigos, which I have 3.1, only 1 of the males had them. My adult male yellowtail also lacks them.

: The biologists at KSC are so sure about this that they do not even probe mature snakes.
