I quess I still don't get it. Unless you are releasing snakes back into their original territories what is the problem? I'll bet you couldn't get permission to release your pure Indigos anywhere in Florida to help restore the local population anywhere. How about you guys setting up a restocking program with the cooperation of the various wildlife agencies to form a cooperative relationship with them- I'll bet they wouldn't hear of it. Offer to donate one out of every sucessfull clutch or something as a way of giving back. What is your goal? I think the purity is relevant only in your head. I welcome the discussion, I'm not trying to be uncool. We could breed the Indigo off the face of the threatened list no doubt, but the habitat is going, going- gone!Where would you release yours? A hybrid is no threat to your sweaterbox population.
