My guess is that you bought yours from "great lake zoological" He advertises the "McMantis strain" I too have a pair (cb '00) from him.
All I've heard is that he has very nice adults and that blacktails is all he does and has had a lot of luck breeding them. I personally do not like the idea of housing Drymarchon together.
I've heard of some who do it...but would never do it myself. Who knows what will happen if one gets real hungry one day. Also, the males can get "used" to having the females around...and it kind of ruins the excitement and thus breeding response when they are introduced.
...kind of like being married I guess!
oh, and by the way, I'm very happy with my pair.
after a year they are about 3.5' long, eating great, and a very nice golden color w/jet black tail.
