I wouldn't worry too much about the bad eye shed. Just soak him really good, then take some scotch tape, roll it around your finger so the sticky side is out, then gently put it on the eye sheild and see if this draws it off. If not, just soak him a few times when he's blue and it should come off with the next shed. I have also used some small but dulled tweezers to remove it without ever having any trouble. If he has a couple of sheilds stick so there are several layers, take him to the vet.

I use the stuck eyesheild as a sign for the need of increased humidity. Soak him everytime just before he sheds should help too.
