I'm kind of confused about that data, since a nest has NEVER been found from the space center indigos. They honestly do not have any good data at all as to when they are mating, laying, etc. within the study animals.
My thought is that the more tropical subsp. probably mate year round. I saw a hatchling yellowtail cribo last week at the Tampa expo. It was wild caught and WAY too small to be last year's. My educated guess would be that easterns are triggering into mating when the nightime drops start hitting certain levels, and they become gravid when temps start indicating spring is coming. so...it could vary from year to year and north to south.
