I have a female and male eastern indigo, both about 2.5 years old. The female is about a foot shorter than the male, but is considerably more bulky. She is about 5 ft. long and 2.5 inches in diameter; he is about 6 ft. long and 2 inches in diameter. Food intake is about equal. Is this typical growth pattern for indigos? That is, do males begin bulking up after approaching maximum length? I have read that males are both longer and heavier. Thanks.
