: Hi folks; I need some help. I have a 4yr old female eastern. Great eater, very solid. I was handling her today and water just spilled right from her mouth and nostrils. She is not weezing or showing any other signs of a problem. However, I am concerned. Her cage temp is 72 - 74 degrees. I just put on an additional 50 watt heat bulb to raise the temperature. I have a 100 watt ceramic heater in place already. However, they go off at night, so temp does drop to mid 60's in the room.
: Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.
: Thanks, Mark
Not only do I agree with TC that she may have just had a drink of water, but indigos
this time of year often wheeze, especially if they are gravid with fertile eggs and
prior to the pre egg lay shed.
If you think she is gravid, you should not increase the
heat.
good luck,
