Male or Female?

Hi I'm thinking of getting an Indigo early next year and was wondering what the difference in temperant was between the sexes? I've read somewhere that males can get pretty nasty when ready to breed. Is this true? I'm intending to get a female anyways, then get her a partner when she's sexually mature. Any special treatment needed for the queen of my collection when I get her?
