Violent Iguana

My borther has kept his Iguana for 6 years (the iggy is about 5ft) and this spring his male iguana has become extremely violent and nearly impossible to clean out or feed.

his male iguana was the most tame iggy i had ever seen and it would never attack anyone! , But this weekend, my brother was cleaning the iguana's room and the iguana launched himself at him and took a chunk out of his neck!(its a real nasty wound) now this sort of behaviour has been evident for 4 months now and my brother is very worried about him. Now i did say that it could be that it is the breeding season , but it just seems strange this is the firt time he has seen the iggy like this over the six years of keeping him.

I just wondered if any one else has had a similar expeariance?

Best Regards

Jeff
