I caught a yearling albino eastern in the early 80's and fed it nothing but toads for 2 years. It grew to about 2 feet and was a fat stunning pink critter. The snake changed hands and was fed scented mice and promptly died w/in 2 years. It developed a large stone-like deposit in the kidneys. Yea, I was young and stupid and didn't thing about the bloodline I could have developed through captive breeding. Don't know why I ever let that one get away. Found a melanistic animal at the same location. There were always tons of toads hopping around that locality. BTW it was found in Northern Va in the Burke/Fairfax Station area.
