I can remember when it was believed that a strict rodent diet could be detrimental to the health of monitors. I don't know what the general consensus is on proper montior diets now, but I do know they eat a lot and have a metabolism more similar to birds than Gilas LOL! As already mentioned, most people agree that heloderma should only be fed eggs in moderation - they seem to do fine on mice and/or rats.
