because this will be a first snake for my non-herper fiance, tree pythons or boas are out of the question. Here are the species I am most interested in:

Rhino Rat
Green Bush Rat
Chinese Green Rat
Asian Vine

Can anyone with experience with any of these snakes tell me a bit about them, and hopefully where to find them? My fiance is a beginner, but he will have my help and support. We are hoping for an active snake that is fairly calm and handle-able (wiggly is fine, Nick loves my corn, and he *never* stops moving.)

Thanks very much!

- Victoria
