Well, which would you rather have, lizards or insects which could eat your flowers or bite you? Your lizards are an extremely effective insect-gobbling army, one of the best "organic" ways to control insects and grubs that there is. Perhaps during the summer months when it is warm, you could just make a loud slapping noise of some sort on your door frame to get them away from the door while you open it. Really, there is little you could do in any humane way to get "rid" of the lizards, and you'd end up probably poisoning yourselves or pets. And, opening the way wide open for the thousands of insects to then do their worst on your garden.
