What can we do to get rid of the lizards?

We have lizards in our flower beds. they seem to like to hide in the mulch.
They are really a nuisance as they like to hang around the bricks when they are warm and slip through the door into the house. They are multiplying each year. What can we do to get rid of the lizards?
