i caught my grey during the daytime...he was asleep on some green stuff in my moms garden and got spooked while i mowed the lawn passed him...i can hear them at night too but can't find them...i have a spring peeper narrowed down to one square foot of grass, calls from that exact spot every night, still can't see him
