How can you spot these out in the field? I hear them at night, and they have been spotted in our area, by the calls they seem to be a bit scarcer than the common spring peepers. They call a few hours before dark and all night, but whenever we enter a calling area, everyone shuts up. Then you're stuck waiting for seemingly endless minutes while the mosquitos prey upon you. I definately respect anyone who has ever photographed either of these species! Only peeper I ever saw was on our garage door when we came home one night.
