BIIIIG problem right in the first sentence. "...2 pac mans in it..." That, in itself, is the largest problem of all. One frog per tank! No exceptions whatsoever!

As for plants, I buy mine at the nursery, and I use only pothos ivy. It works well enough. To prepare it, wash off all the soil from its roots and plant it in a totally organic, no chemicals or perlite or vermiculite, substrate. Wash all the leaves and take care of it for at least a month prior to putting it in a tank. I then place the plant, pot and all, in the tank and bury it. Keep in mind the plant might get ripped up, horned frogs tend to dig into it, or even try to eat it in some cases. I have a caresheet at the link below...just go to horned/pac man frogs.
