As a Hunter I am well aware of what is public land and what is private. On the East Coast Property laws are quite different. I could hunt anywhere it was not posted so long as it was out of town limits.

My buddies wandered off public land while Dove hunting and got sited for tresspassing. This was in Butte County, California.
