Jaffo's right, 5 is not enough. Sorry for the above, I hit the wrong key. Here goes:

1. Panama, 1969 - A gorgeous 6 ft+ Rainbow Boa (Epicrates cenchria) picked up off the road from Coco Solo to Colon during the daytime.The thing about this specimen was the beautiful contrast in colors. There was no fading or muddying of the pattern as is seen in so many specimens.

2. Panama, 1971 - A ten ft long Bushmaster (Lachesis muta) lying stretched across my lane on the Trans-Isthmian Hwy in an area known as the rainforest but it really wasn't. It was 2 AM and we were heading back to the Atlantic Side after a formal dance on the Pacific Side. So, I got out of my car in my Mess Uniform and got my hook and removed the bushie from the road.

3. Acapulco, Mexico, 1962 - While raking through litter in an abandoned swimming pool, uncovered a beautiful Dwarf Python, Loxocemus bicolor.

4. Colima, Mexico, 1961 - On the same trip (I know, I'm fudging) found my first Mexican West Coast Rattlesnake (Crotalus basiliscus) and my first Cantil (Agkistrodon bilineatus).

5. Isla Catalina, BC, Mexico, 1960 - Catalina Island Rattleless Rattlesnake.

5a. Aw, just one more, OK? Chiapas, Mexico, 1958 - First wild Phrynosoma asio. This is a horned lizard meant for the masses. No ants needed. The first meal for this monster consisted of two fuzzy mice.
