... I believe the listing for Pakistan is due to one single report from Lahore. That record may be questionable (snakes do get moved around quite a bit in Asia), and, moreover, I doubt that the region has much suitable habitat these days.

I would be more than a little surprised (but pleased!) if anyone found a surviving population in Pakistan. Note also that much of the Pakistani literature does not discuss the species, which casts doubt on its occurrence there.
