I saw a wild-caught captive adamanteus that the owner claimed to have measured at well in excess of 6 1/2 feet, though short of seven. The biggest I had ever worked with was 6'3", & I can tell you that animal was bigger than the one I had worked with. That was in about 1973. I have seen a handful of EDB's over five feet, & not many at all over six. Oh...the animals I am referring to all originated in Palm Beach County, Florida.
