The snake does not rub or strike the cage to get out, but it does burrow in the aspen shavings. It doesn't cough. And there is no discharge or swelling that I can see. The only thing that really looks wrong is that it's mouth is always a bit open and some of the scales are looking old and worn on the head. I'm hoping that a shed will clear the scales up, but I don't know what to make of the mouth. If it doesn't improve soon I'll take it to a vet.
