Prat, set them up in the box with a little room in between the eggs so as to allow removal in case they go bad and incubate them. I have had some really good animals hatch from funky looking eggs. As far as candling and that type thing, we feel that the least amount of handling and contact you can have with the eggs is best for increasing hatch rates etc. Watch for signs of fungus, carrion flies etc, and you should be fine.
