Basically, a Suriname boa is from Suriname and a Colombian is from Colombia. But they are also members of two different subspecies that also include other localities. The Surinames are Boa constrictor constrictor, which I believe is the largest subspecies. Columbians are Boa constrictor imperator, which stays smaller. I've heard that the 'BCI's are more docile. There are several other subspecies of Boa constrictor. I don't have any yet because I'm having trouble picking :D. But I think I'm leaning toward Surinams, they're just so pretty!
