:-I would agree with both of you i have research for many hours and i had my boa for 4 months i had waited 3 weeks then i intro duced handling.It was not just me i have 2 other snakes and i buy mice for them at the pet shop were she still is since then she has bitten 3 people she will be fine one minute and then the next she will strike it was not my choice to hive it up my mother was to scared when it stuck at her she would not let me keep it i wanted to work it out.I kno that if i still had her and worked with her she could have turned out on top.there is no such thing as a "mean"snake she must just be very skidish mayb somthing happend to her before i had her.And i probly made a mistakje buying a snake at alomost 6 ft long.I apriciate everyones advice even tho i am lightly ofended that people can jump to such harsh conclusions.I have had my other 2 snakes for quite a while and when they are tooken to school they are put in a back room after my explanation of them. they will go this year to my school(this week) and will be put in a science room supervised by a teacher who is a herpetologist who has many snakes of his own.yes i am young but i have the persistance to go through with what i have started.I am very devoted to my animals they are not just a possesionthey are living breathing animals that depend on me to give them what they need.im sorry for making this post so long but the 2 post i got were both downing me .
