Cool and congratulations! Yours was the only retained egg ball I had ever heard of so I was wondering if they didn't have a better system than corns.

With corns, my vet was able to use a large gauge syringe up through the belly to drain a couple of near the vent eggs shortly after she laid the rest (before they could harden) and she then passed the shells fine and even double clutched ok that year (her first breeding year). I think I remember him saying something about not doing that with pythons for some reason but now I can’t remember for sure. I did hear of a burm once that had eggs surgically removed and then got egg bound every year.
