ok...first ball laid...there were 9 good eggs and one dud...as well as a big ,good egg retained in her....about 5 inches up from her vent....
I fed her...she actually ate a few items...think...? maybe she'll push the egg out faster anyways....?...

feed more and more...after a week or so...the egg actually MOVED UP into her farther?????...wow...new to me(corns don't do this)....it was then about 10 inches into her....

so...keep feeding....after about a month...(she had shed again I think? ...I forget.....then she finally defecated...and passed all her urates....and the retained egg...good...it is out...and I never saw it move down(I don't check ,she is on a top shelf and I cannot actually see her that well....they hide in the backs of the boxes....

so...the egg came out...and it(unlike corn also)...it shrank ...the yolk got solid...rubbery...(normal)...and the shell was too big for it...it shrank alot...so ,as you can see....it has folds in it due to the shell being too big for it...

new to me
1 the egg moved up
2 the egg shrank(corns keep swelling bigger)

it had red in it,remains of blood vessels...I am just glad it's out...she is 5 this year....and the 11 eggs are normal....

good luck...

any other retained egg stories??? noone ever talks about them...?

JY
