Hello, I emailed " jackm@salsgiver.com" but kept having the email returned. If you are still out there,
I'd really appreciate it if you respond as I'm totally in love with these little beauties and want to learn more
before purchasing some. If anyone else has more infomation along these lines, please email me.

Here is a copy of the email I tried to send:

I saw your posting on Kingsnake.com. I have recently seen and fallen in love with these beautiful lizards at one of the pet stores
near where I live. I was given a plethora of incorrect information, and only today found out what those "Green Striped Dragons"
really are from a competing pet store with much better Ownership, husbandry, etc. (and where I bought my Bearded Dragon!)

OK, having said all that, I have lots of questions!! What do you feed them? Do you know what they eat in the wild? Have you
found any good reference books that you can recommend for information about them? Have you had success breeding them?
Can you tell me if they are generally handleable? (I held the one in the pet store and he, although initially squirmy
calmed down and was actively interested - similar to the Beardies) What is the STL size of your biggest one and, could
you please describe to me the set up you keep them in? How do they do in captivity? If I find that there is success
to be had in keeping these, I'd like to order a pair male & female (are they dimorphic?) (from the good petstore of course!!).
Or, do they do better in trios? Can they co-exist peacefully?
If they don't do well in captivity, I'll just admire them from a distance.
Thank you very much!!

: : I need info and pics of Japalura splendida. I believe I have one of these that was incorrectly labeled as a Calote. I have not been able to find any pics to verify that this is what I have, though someone sent me to some sites that have other Japalura species that look similar. I need info!! It has been eating insects, but I need to know what else to offer, etc. Thanks...

: Hi. I've been keeping Japaluras for 3 years now. They make great terrarium animals and once settled in may even breed. I think I have a gravid female now. They are always mislabeled in pet stores. I've seen them called green tree agamas, calotes (which are similar), and neon green dragons. As far as info; there isn't much. I don't remember the exact issue but there was an article in Reptile Hobbyist:

: the one with a cobra on the cover. I don't have regular access to a computer, but if you're interested, email me at jackm@salsgiver.com and I'll send you info and pics via snailmail. Lotsa luck with lizards:)!
