We believe that we have a Panamint Aligator lizard
and it has laid a clutch of eight eggs. What now?
We don't know the gestation or proper care. I
figure the period to hatching is around 4 to 5
weeks, but the eggs seem to be shrinking. Do they
need humidity and/or heat? I have been told they
may not even be fertilized. Can we candle them?
: Panamint Alligator Lizard (Elgaria panamintina = Gerrhonotus panamintinus). This rare and protected species is little studied. If you can add to this information please post it here.
