Panamint Alligator Lizard (Elgaria panamintina = Gerrhonotus panamintinus). This rare and protected species is little studied. If you can add to this information please post it here.

"Presumabably lays eggs" (Stebbins 1985 "Field Guide to Western Reptiles and Amphibians"). "May and June are probably the periods of greatest sexual activity." (Banta 1963 Occ. Papers Calif Acad Sci #36). Captive pair held at 20 deg C mated may 15-17, 1961 (Banta Herpetologica 17(3)204-206)
